กล้องดิจิตอล Canon รุ่นที่อยู่ในความสนใจของผู้บริโภคอีกหนึ่งรุ่นคงหนีไม่พ้น กล้องดิจิตอล Canon EOS 7D Mark II ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้มีรายงานออกมาว่าจะมาพร้อมกับเซ็นเซอร์ความละเอียด 20.2 ล้านพิกเซล แต่รายงานล่าสุดระบุว่า แคนนอน 7D Mark II จะมาพร้อมกับเซ็นเซอร์ความละเอียด 24 ล้านพิกเซลแต่จะยังคงใช้เซ็นเซอร์แบบ APS-C เหมือนเดิม

Preview based on a pre-production Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM

Sigma has a long history as a lens maker, having been founded over 50 years ago. In the film era it was best known for relatively inexpensive lenses that undercut the camera makers' own equivalents in terms of price. But this has changed over the part decade or so; while other companies have shifted manufacturing to cheaper locations such as China and Thailand, Sigma has stubbornly refused to move from its factory in Aizu, Japan. This means it can no longer compete in the same way on price alone, and it's therefore switched its focus towards higher-value offerings.

Over the past few years we've seen increasingly ambitious concepts appear from the company's design studios. The original (and recently-replaced) 30mm F1.4 EX DC HSM has long been one of our favourite lenses for APS-C SLRs, and the 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM grabbed our attention back in 2008 due to its sharpness at large apertures. Improving upon its popular predecessor with several key upgrades, the Olympus XZ-2 boasts a brand new 12-megapixel 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor but thankfully keeps the fast, bright f/1.8-2.5 iZUIKO zoom lens which made the XZ-1 stand out against other enthusiast compact cameras. The XZ-2's 4x zoom lens maintains a wide maximum aperture across its 28-112mm equivalent range, and paired with the new sensor -- which replaces a 10-megapixel CCD -- we found the camera delivered sharp, detailed images even in low-light situations.

Other enhancements to the Olympus flagship compact include a three-inch, articulating LCD touchscreen that -- though not a great performer in direct sunlight -- provides a great deal of shooting flexibility and makes on-the-fly settings changes easy using the camera's Super Control Panel. And while the XZ-2 doesn't come with an electronic viewfinder, we were happy that you can still add on an Olympus accessory EVF, or if you prefer an accessory flash and stereo microphone[...]

สำหรับข้อมูลของ Panasonic GX7 นั้น บอกว่าจะมาพร้อมดีไซน์ที่รูปร่างคล้ายกับ Panasonic L1 พร้อมเซ็นเซอร์ความละเอียด 18 ล้านพิกเซล มีระบบป้องกันภาพสั่นไหวในตัว พร้อมแฟลชป๊อปอัพในตัว ที่สำคัญคือวิวไฟน์เดอร์อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ที่สามารบิดพับได้ พร้อมหน้าจอ LCD ที่บิดพับได้เช่นเดียวกัน และสำหรับภาพที่เห็นเป็นภาพร่างคร่าวๆของบอดี้ Panasonic GX7 นั่นเอง

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS5 (known as the FT5 outside of North America) is a rugged camera that has been stuffed with virtually every feature imaginable (see below for a list). It replaces the DMC-TS3/FT3, and can take even more of a beating than its predecessor. Other new features include a higher resolution MOS sensor (16MP CMOS vs. 12MP CCD), Wi-Fi with NFC capability, faster burst shooting, true 1080/60p video recording, and much more. Battery life has also been improved by 20%, due to the use of a more powerful battery, which is alway helpful on cameras with battery-draining features like GPS and Wi-Fi.
